CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
Irene Primary school offers Orff Orchestra where our talented children learn to perform at an extremely high level of proficiency. They perform at our many Honours’ evenings and Cultural evenings to showcase their achievements.
The Junior and Senior choirs practice weekly and perform at our Open days, assemblies and take part in various eisteddfods and festivals. We have had many of our choir members become part of the Jacaranda Children’s Choir and some have received scholarships for choir, at the best high schools in and around, Pretoria.
Irene Primary School showcases our amazing talent at Cultural evenings or Musical Extravaganzas All our children from grade R to 7 are involved in this spectacular event.
Under the expert guidance of our dedicated Creative Arts teachers, many of our visual art pieces are entered into competitions provincially and nationally. The art is often showcased at functions organised by the GDE.
Irene Primary School prides itself on the holistic development of the child and our Cultural activities allow for love and nurturing of the Arts.
